Radomilicka mead is made from bee flower honey from the region of South Bohemia - Vodňanska. The production of mead takes place in a cold way in order to preserve the rare properties of honey. Mead enchants with its rich and distinct honey taste of pleasant sweetness.

Mead is made by fermenting pale, i.e. flower or nectar, honey after mixing it with water. Alcohol is produced only by fermentation of honey and no preservatives are used.

The light Radomilicka mead is best enjoyed chilled to approx. 10-12°C. The mead is sweet enough to be pleasantly sipped even in the hot summer.

mead

Mead is an alcoholic beverage fermented from honey and water, with possibility of addition of other ingredients such as spices or herbs or in combination with fruit juices.

Classical mead

Classical mead is made by fermenting honey and water without any other ingrediences. It keeps its original honey flavour and taste.

Type of honey

Blossom honey or nectar comes from the nectar of various flowers.

Production process

This mead was made cold. This means that during its production, the honey was not heated above 40-45 °C, which is the normal temperature in nature to which honey is resistant. At higher temperatures, some precious components of honey can be damaged and degraded. Cold-made mead is the best choice.

Producer Radomilicka medovina

Radomilicka mead is produced cold from the highest quality bee honey from the region of South Bohemia - Vodňanska.

The producer Jiří Velek relies on uniqueness and preserving the true taste of honey. It uses exclusively honey from its own managed bee colonies.

Mead is produced in the historic premises of a South Bohemian farmhouse by fermenting honey in the presence of wine yeast without access to air and without heat treatment of the honey. No preservatives are added during maturation. After several years of maturation and careful ongoing quality control, the mead is bottled.

Due to the very small annual production of mead, each bottle is a masterpiece. Radomilicka mead has been one of the most popular in Medovinárn since it was first introduced in 2020, and we are sure that many more of you will like it.

We currently have Radomilicka mead made from nectar honey, honeydew honey and nectar honey with the pleasant addition of propolis.
