Dessert mead
Dessert mead
To be honest, we don't usually sell dessert meads. The vast majority of meads that are sweetened with sugar, added with artificial flavorings and colorings belong to that group. That's not mead! And our hearts wouldn't allow us to sell them.
However, every rule has certain exceptions. We offer, for example, archival Hřebečské mead, where, according to the old legislation, before 2018, a cooler was used to a small extent, mainly for the purpose of better highlighting the aroma and taste when macerating spices and herbs. Therefore, these archival meads (bottled already during the period of validity of the new decree) must now be designated as dessert. Due to the exceptional nature of mead aged up to 18 years, we will exceptionally forgive this detail.
In this section you will also find some traditional Polish meads, where the alcohol content of sweet meads is compulsorily increased above 15% with a small addition of alcohol.
