Fine barrique mead with the scent of oak wood and tones of vanilla fermented from a mixture of flower honeys, of which a very distinctive linden tree remained in the taste.

This mead was fermented at very low temperatures of about 15-17 °C for 8 months. During the fermentation, wood chips from a French barrel were put inside. The mead was further aged and the production temperature was raised to 22° C, thanks to which the mead was slowly fermented. For the last six months she had been lying in a barrique barrel.
It was not sulfurized or treated with sorban. It is pure natural and unfiltered.

Unlike most barrique mead on the market, especially from Slovak brands, this mead is significantly softer, less sweet, has an excellent balanced taste. Thanks to the linden tree, it has a strong aroma, which you will feel right at the first small breath.

mead

Mead is an alcoholic beverage fermented from honey and water, with possibility of addition of other ingredients such as spices or herbs or in combination with fruit juices.

Classical mead

Classical mead is made by fermenting honey and water without any other ingrediences. It keeps its original honey flavour and taste.

Type of honey

Blossom honey or nectar comes from the nectar of various flowers.

Production process

This mead was made cold. This means that during its production, the honey was not heated above 40-45 °C, which is the normal temperature in nature to which honey is resistant. At higher temperatures, some precious components of honey can be damaged and degraded. Cold-made mead is the best choice.
