Mead from young nuts of the Potštejn garden. Limited edition original walnut mead - another unique mead. A rich and velvety taste that warms you. A delicious mead for relaxing moments.
How is mead made from young walnuts?
It has a rich, velvety taste, slightly reminiscent of dark caramel, which pleasantly warms and a wonderfully sparkling color like a fire in the fireplace. Compared to our other meads, mead made from young walnuts is somehow wonderfully "less honeyed", because the main word in its taste is clearly taken over by nuts. In short, a delicious mead for relaxing moments :-)
Why young green walnuts?
In the spring of 2018, Milan Pleva came across a recipe for making liqueur from green walnuts. And because he is always looking for new ways to enrich meads with other wonderful substances, he was impressed by the high content of vitamin C, the ability to detoxify the body, prevent fatigue and depression, and much more in young unripe walnuts. So you thought, why not put them in our beloved honey drink?
In June 2018, the walnut trees in garden were covered with green hairs, so it was the right time for collection. After fermentation, the mead acquired a wonderful green color! During gradual tasting, it changed both color and taste. In autumn 2019, it reached its peak taste, so you can finally taste it too!

Production process
This mead was made cold. This means that during its production, the honey was not heated above 40-45 °C, which is the normal temperature in nature to which honey is resistant. At higher temperatures, some precious components of honey can be damaged and degraded. Cold-made mead is the best choice.
