The Včelco company is located at the foot of the Small Carpathians in Smolenice, directly below the majestic Smolenice Castle. They produce a wide variety of types of mead and are not afraid to experiment. Each bottle is of premium quality.

Včelco was founded in 2007 and, as the founders emphasize, it is a "small production with a big heart". Already the following year, they won the 1st medal at the most prestigious international Mazer Cup competition in America, and this motivated them a lot in their further work.

Pavol Kudláč, co-owner of the company, originally worked with his brother at Apimed. Together, they have been bees since childhood and very soon began to produce their first mead. In the beginning, they used the premises where Trenčia mead was produced. In 2007, he and his friends decided to go in a slightly different direction, as he himself said, "play more with mead" and founded the brand Včelco.

Little is known that until 2008 Včelovina was produced boiled, and since 2009 only unboiled using a new gentler technological procedure while maintaining the same composition of honey and the same recipe.

Beeswax Original was supplemented in subsequent years with Beeswax Special matured in oak barrels. Later, other types of mead were added, such as Natural now Classic mead, Prešporská and various fruit meads, of which Currant mead is on permanent offer. The premium lines are kept by Barrique Bee products matured in different types of wooden barrels. Popular are those batches that were left in used barrels after other alcohol (rum, whiskey, etc.).
Some series of meads were gradually replaced by others. For example, fresh fruit Berries were replaced in 2020 with a new line of Craft Bees.
