It's a wonderful! Exceptional delicate juicy peach taste, fruit mead made from Czech peaches.
We like all the fruit that is given to us by the rich Czech nature, but we must admit that little bumps into a just ripe, beautifully juicy peach. We had been playing with the idea of loading peach mead for a long time and we just waited for it to come across the right peaches.
And when we came across a sprinkled peach orchard at a local gardener in Slemen this year, we knew right away that this would be an extraordinary mead, and not just because of the taste. For us, it is also spiced with a pinch of nostalgia, because we once lived in Slemen, and it was there that we also founded and started our company.
This year is the first time we have peach mead on offer and we can't wait to taste it too.
Wild taste with a hint of nostalgia
The juicy peaches, ripe in the Czech sun, were so tempting that we had to do something so that we would not eat them before being loaded with honey. We would say that the mead is very beneficial for the fact that we loaded it all into the mead with the seeds. Thanks to this, you can also enjoy the delicate taste of kernels, which will add a touch when tasting.
The resulting taste is long, warm and may surprise you with a gentle breath of apples on the palate. After the second sip, a peach flavor develops with a stone fruit end and a light sparkle, after all, it is a young mead. Its taste is best when it is cold or at room temperature.
Important! Do not take the savagery of mead lightly, it is not yet a mature drink! Store it in the refrigerator and drink it no later than one week after delivery. Once you open it, drink it no later than the next day. But I would say that it won't even last you that long :-)
"This mead is simply stone! Literally, we loaded it with whole peaches from our favorite gardener from Slemen, a village that has a special place in our hearts. That's where we founded our company almost 29 years ago. The taste of mead is warm. and long, surprisingly with a slight undertone of apples.

Type of honey
Blossom honey or nectar comes from the nectar of various flowers.
Production process
This mead was made cold. This means that during its production, the honey was not heated above 40-45 °C, which is the normal temperature in nature to which honey is resistant. At higher temperatures, some precious components of honey can be damaged and degraded. Cold-made mead is the best choice.

The Pleva family business is located in the spa town of Potštejn in the picturesque foothills of the Eagle Mountains. It specializes in the processing of medicinal bee products (honey, royal jelly, pollen, propolis and bee venom) into cosmetics and food supplements. However, the most interesting thing for us is the production of meads, in which the people of Plevo specialize in single-species meads.
They have been raising bees since 1969 and processing bee products since 1990. However, they only started producing mead around 2003, initially in smaller quantities. From the beginning, they wanted to follow a honey-friendly path and also had the goal of offering something new, unique, which is missing on the market. They officially started offering mead only in 2008. The first mead was herbal and distinctly bitter, they also produced several honey liqueurs with nut and herbal variants. In the end, however, they focused on a quite unique but most interesting category of meads, which consists of meads made from one type of honey. The current offer includes acacia, linden, sunflower and forest honey meads, which are real delicacies and are popular for their distinct aroma and taste of original honey. Potštejn mead is fermented from classic flower honey.
The maturation period of meads is at least 1 year, but some meads have been refining their flavor for 5 years.
We at the Mead Museum from Plevů also buy some types of honey cosmetics.
