A classic Belgian mead fermented with orange honey. Gravitas is one of the "traditional" meads. So only water, honey and yeast were used in the production. No added fruit or spices.
Spanish orange blossom honey was used for the production. Together with Vinho Verde yeast, it creates a smooth and tasty mead. The taste develops from sweetness to a slight citrus sourness. The persistence of the taste is quite longer than you would expect for such a smooth mead.

Classical mead is made by fermenting honey and water without any other ingrediences. It keeps its original honey flavour and taste.

Orange blossom honey and mead
Production process
This mead was made cold. This means that during its production, the honey was not heated above 40-45 °C, which is the normal temperature in nature to which honey is resistant. At higher temperatures, some precious components of honey can be damaged and degraded. Cold-made mead is the best choice.
